A Gravestone for 3rd Great-Grandfather Daniel Spangler (1781-1851)

Once I found out, from the Spangler family history book, that my third great-grandfather Daniel spangler (1781-1851) was buried in Sheakleyville Cemetery in Sheakleyville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, I decided to create a Find A Grave memorial and request a photograph from a helpful volunteer in western Pennsylvania.

I made the photo request on 30 October 2014, right at the start of snow season in western Pennsylvania.  [Note to self:  Bad planning, Randy!]

I received an email on 24 April 2015 that my photo request had been completed by Tom Allen, so I quickly responded and thanked Tom for his service in braving the elements and providing the photograph.  In his return email, he gave me permission to use the photograph.

I think the inscription says:

In memory of

DANIEL

SPANGLER

??????

?????????

LIFE

The unreadable lines are probably something like in "in the 70th year of his"  I will have to visit the gravesite sometime in the future to read what it says.

Note the snow still on the ground around the gravestone!

Now I need to add a short biography and provide links to memorials for other known family members.  Then I will attach the source citation and gravestone photograph to Daniel Spangler in my RootsMagic database.
