SDGS Meeting on Saturday, 11 March 2017 Speakers

The Saturday, 11 March 2017 program meeting of the San Diego Genealogical Society is from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church (8350 Lake Murray Blvd in San Diego, just south of Jackson Drive).

There are two speakers:

1)  SDGS member Marshall Clow will present "Scanning Your Family Photos"

There are several tutorials available on how to scan your family pictures. Interestingly enough, many of them deal with organizing the physical pictures. After an introduction to the basics of scanning, I will talk about an alternative organizational pattern-on based on the idea that the scanned images are more easily organized than the physical prints.

2)  Author David McCullough:

presenting "A Celebration of Family History" (Originally presented to the National Genealogical Society) via DVD.

The 9 a.m. class in the upstairs class room will be "10 Tips for Beginning Genealogists."
