Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Where Have You Visited?

Hey genea-folks,
it's Saturday Night again,

 time for more Genealogy Fun!

Your mission this week, should you decide to accept it, is to:

1)  A meme on Facebook has been circulating about what states, countries and other places you have visited.  The average for Americans is 8.

2)  Copy the list from this blog post and denote your places visited with an X, and add states or countries you've visited not on the list.  Then total it up at the end of your list.

3)  Put your responses in your own blog post, in a comment on this blog post, or in a status or comment on Facebook.

  1. My score is 41. It's 42 if you count Chicago as a state (or a country) :) Plan to do alot more travelling after I retire this summer. So ask me again next year!

  6. We've done a lot of traveling in the last few years and it's reflected on my list. My total is 85 with Norway coming on as #86 next month. http://emptybranchesonthefamilytree.com/2017/04/saturday-night-genealogy-fun-where-have-you-visited/

  7. We have done a lot of traveling over the years both in business and holiday. I am not going to list them all here but we have visited 105 of the places on your list. I was surprised my self when I started adding them up. Fun idea. Thanks.

  8. I forgot to mention that some of those places listed were with Linda Stufflebean. Fun times ahead and more travel to come.

  9. My total is 92 with a lot of credit to the time I spent in the Navy. I visited almost every country in the Pacific due to my 24 years in the Navy, including many small islands many people never heard of: Johnson Island, Canton Island, Midway Island, Wake and Christmas.

  10. Have been in 45 states and 45 separate countries. The states should be finished this year - hard to force myself to Alabama etc. 2018 is expected to be a big year for international travel with stops in about 15 countries planned so far. Not one is related to genealogy.

  11. You sure have been to lots of cool places, Randy!

I made the list for both David and myself. Here is the link:

  12. We are a well traveled group I would say. Nice posts and comments. I would like to know how many different places we all have been while doing genealogical research.

  13. I have a lot less than most of the others as I am not an international traveler.
