We've collected a lot of research on the medieval de Vaux families in England in researching the Vance surname (at least one of the origins of Vance is from de Vaux).

The legends and facts around the older Vaux lines, with sources, are in book form at https://sites.google.com/site/vancepath/ (you'll want Part I, not Part II). Note however that we go off pretty quickly into the de Vaux lines that spun off north to Cumberland in England and East Lothian in Scotland, since those lines spawned Irish descendants who became Vances. But you're welcome to the info if any of that might connect to your Vaux line.

I can be reached at davevance01 at gmail.com.

Dave VanceDave Vancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10823699447442510111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26204193.post-86241771649412909182010-01-23T09:24:19.793-08:002010-01-23T09:24:19.793-08:00Have you used this work for Amy Terrell? “The Tyre...Have you used this work for Amy Terrell? “The Tyrells of England” by Oliver F.
