Is Randy really kin to you?
...Dear Genea-Santa,

Is Randy really kin to you?

Youall look so much alike that surely he is on your family tree. Anyway whether youall are kinfolk or not, Randy has asked us to write to you asking for a genea-present.

All I ask for this Christmas is that genea-bloggers be what they purport to be and not have hidden agenda. Having a hidden agendum/agenda is so easy in this internet age with false names and unverifible claims. So help the genea-bloggers out with some magic --- keep us honest and upfront in our dealings with each other.

While I doubt that my actions this year warrant any consideration of this request, you might consider my "good" works in previous years. I did, it is true, remove about 1,200 blog articles from my sites --- but most of those articles are available for a small fee in CD format. I did, it is true, resign from the Association of Graveyard Rabbits which I founded because the membership was going in a direction I didn't wish to follow. I did, it is true, resign from GenealogWise because of censorship but my local historical society is $801 richer as a result of that sad situation. I did, it is true, resign from Facebook --- and I haven't Twittered one time ever I promise. And I haven't been involved in months with any challenges, memes, throw-downs, carnivals, or other foolishness until Randy's Saturday Night Fun Challenge caught my eye --- besides, St. Nick, maybe you can help straighten out the problem of genea-bloggers not being what they report they are --- and can make honest family historians of us all.

Santa, are your reindeer in good shape? Tell them I've grown a lovely patch of green rye grass on my Mississippi Hill and to be sure to stop, rest, and nibble when they get this way on Christmas.

Here's my wish for you and Mrs. Claus this year: good times, good friends, good health, good cheer.

Thanking you, Santa, for any consideration of this small request --- and thanking your most special of elves, Randy the Musing Dean of the Genea-Bloggers, for making such a request. Do I get any extra points by not taking up band-width at my blog with this reply?

Merry Christmas all,
Terry Thornton
Fulton, Mississippi
Hill Country H.O.G.S WebPress at http://hillcountryhogswebpress.blogspot.com/Terry Thorntonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01251750196282728118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26204193.post-20405247014967032062009-12-05T16:39:15.173-08:002009-12-05T16:39:15.173-08:00Please view my site for a response to this posting...Please view my site for a response to this posting. http://lifefromtheroots.blogspot.com/Barbara Poolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07440544740334032378noreply@blogger.com
