This brings back old memories. I grew up in...Wow! This brings back old memories. I grew up in Marshall, Missouri, and lived less than a block and a half from his house. This is all as I remember with one exception. The family name was Clause, but he never used the 'E' on the end. I remember him as the minister of the church right next door to his house. His mailbox at the street had Santa in his sleigh with reindeer across the top if it. <br /><br />Dad was a milkman, and we delivered milk to his doorstep 3 days a week. I always thought that we delivered milk on the morning he died, but 1 Apr 1957 was a Monday, so that couldn't be correct. (I was 11 then.) Dad said he received tons of mail every Christmas, and he personally answered each one.
