(Not So) Wordless Wednesday - Post 216: Aunt Geraldine at 23

I am posting photographs from my family collections for (Not So) Wordless Wednesday (you know me, I can't go wordless!).

Here is a photograph from the Geraldine Seaver Remley family collection handed down from my aunt in 2007
 after her passing.

This is a photograph of Geraldine Seaver (1917-2007) in 1940, in an unknown place.  It appears that the smudges on the right side of the picture are fingerprints, perhaps left by someone's sticky fingers (I hope they aren't mine!).

This is how Gerry looked when she appeared in the 1940 U.S. Census, residing with her father in Leominster, Massachusetts.  She had four years of college, worked 25 hours a week as a music teacher in a public school, and made $1100 in wages in 1939.

Such a pretty girl.

Wow! She made a good income for that time period.
