Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- How Many Persons in Your Biggest Family Tree?

Calling all Genea-Musings Fans:

 It's Saturday Night again -
time for some more Genealogy Fun!!

Here is your assignment if you choose to play along (cue the Mission Impossible music, please!):

1)  Look in your preferred genealogy management program (e.g., RootsMagic, Family Tree Maker, Ancestry Member Tree, etc.) and determine how many separate "trees" (or "bushes," or "twigs") you have.

2)  How many persons are in your biggest family tree in your collection?  What persons are in your biggest tree (e.g., your ancestors, a person's descendants, etc.)

3)  Share your answers in your own blog post, in a comment on this post, or on a Facebook post.

Here's mine:

I use RootsMagic as my preferred Genealogy Management Program.  In the "Tools" menu, there is the "Count Trees" list.  I have 162 separate trees in this database of 50,337 persons.

I have 45,119 persons in my largest tree.  This includes all of my ancestral families, and the descendants of my ancestors that I have entered into the program (e.g., my Seaver, Carringer, Auble, Vaux, Buck, Dill and other surname studies).

I saw that I had about 10 "twig" trees with only one person in them, so I will prune them - either delete them or add them to another tree.
