I'm not LDS nor am I a member of Ancestry.com nor Fold3, BUT I am a transcriber for FamilySearch. I think they allow access to transcribers if they do a certain amount a month or quarter .. I don't know the details.Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01844616437778582131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26204193.post-17195318977908210122014-03-22T15:37:06.322-07:002014-03-22T15:37:06.322-07:00Randy, since I am LDS, I tried logging in and seei...Randy, since I am LDS, I tried logging in and seeing the censuses. It didn't allow me to view the images you mentioned (I tested 1930) when not logged in, but did when I logged in.

Someone mentioned the only one they couldn't access was 1860 and I just tested that. The ONLY option it is showing me is a partner site of Fold3, which is odd since Ancestry has those images in the Ancestry subscription. Not sure why that one would be excluded from this partnership deal.

But it would seem that, yes, that "signed-in members of supporting organizations" does include LDS members, but may or may not include others also.Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09694350973474283171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26204193.post-83738916394774374032014-03-21T14:06:52.115-07:002014-03-21T14:06:52.115-07:00Nancy and Wendy,

If I am not logged into my subscription account, I cannot see the image on Ancestry or Fold3 whether or not I am signed into FamilySearch.

Nancy, I know that there are specific collections on FamilySearch that requires signing into FamilySearch in order to see them. The first thing I do when I come to FamilySearch is to sign in. After that I can see all the images. On the pages that say "Explore Viewing Options" - when you click it and it tells you to go to Ancestry, etc. or to Sign in - all you have to do is sign in with your FamilySearch User ID and password to see it. I use the information from the 1860 Census index to go to HeritageQuest to see the image there. Does it work for you to sign in to see the images? I am not a member of the LDS church or a subscriber of Ancestry.wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09768521769914883935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26204193.post-31271716211568619752014-03-20T19:34:43.024-07:002014-03-20T19:34:43.024-07:00Randy, I see "explore viewing options" t...Randy, I see "explore viewing options" too, but when I sign in to FamilySearch, often I'm able to see the images. The images are often better in quality than those uploaded elsewhere.
Geoloverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12050268303916428230noreply@blogger.com
