We are so fortunate now to have thousands of old films available onlne thanks to Internet Archive. The last movie I saw in a theatre was yesterday, "The Man Who Knew Infinity," is about a young man from India who lives and breathes mathematics, and gets a chance to go to Cambridge.

I like hiking and we are fortunate to have a number of parks in my area that have good hiking trails.

I love opera. Not every opera, there are many I don't care for. Some favorites are "Carmen," and "The Pearl Fishers," by George Bizet; "Nabucco," "Rigoletto," "Aida," "Il Trovatore,"and "Otello" by Guiseppe Verdi;"Samson & Delilah" by Camille Saint-Saens, and "Madama Butterfly," "La Boheme," and "Turandot" by Giacomo Puccini. And now we can see live opera from the "Met," simulcast and in our local theatres. And the prices are reasonable.

When I retired I disconnected my cable, so generally we don't watch TV. There are some programs that we can watch on PBS (like "Downton Abbey"). We have DVD movies, mostly classic films from the '30's & '40's, and some classic TV programs on DVD, like Groucho Marx's "You Bet Your Life."

I learned to knit when I was about 6 or 7, and I like to crochet afghans, sweaters, etc. I have a sweater I started about 4 years ago. Memo to self: You need to finish the sweater!

Some of my former activities I've had to give up...like Tap Dancing. I love it, but it's tough on my knees.Shirley Ann Rankinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09332814640155455138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26204193.post-65073046896589834602016-05-14T16:02:27.515-07:002016-05-14T16:02:27.515-07:00Thanks for the mission. https://stephhillsgenealo...Thanks for the mission. https://stephhillsgenealogy.wordpress.com/2016/05/14/saturday-night-genealogy-fun-14052016/Stephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04596768604898287348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26204193.post-54465855912473686512016-05-14T15:08:37.915-07:002016-05-14T15:08:37.915-07:00Thanks for the fun, Randy!
