The source citation for Joseph Champlin, Senior:

1850 United States Federal Census, Washington County, Rhode Island, population schedule, South Kingstown, page 353A (stamped), Dwelling #267, Family #310, Joseph Champlin household; digital image, Ancestry.com (http://www.ancestry.com); citing National Archives Microfilm Publication M432, Roll 847.

In this record, Joseph Champlin senior, age 92, is listed last on the Joseph Champlin (age 57) household over two census pages.  The younger Joseph is the son of the elder Joseph.

Joseph Champlin Senior (1757-1850) is my 4th great-grandfather.  He married Nancy Kenyon (1765-1833) and they had 12 children.  I am descended through their daughter, Amy Champlin (1798-1865) who married Jonathan Oatley (1790-1872) in 1813.
