DNA Central Call For Speaker Presentation Proposals

I received this information from Blaine Bettinger over the weekend:

=======================================================

July 7, 2018 – Baldwinsville, NY – DNA Central (www.DNA-Central.com), the world’s first
and largest membership website dedicated entirely to DNA and genetic genealogy education,
announces a request for webinar proposals for its 2018-2019 webinar schedule!

We are seeking new and engaging webinar presentations from dynamic speakers. Topics
being considered include DNA evidence utilization and organization, chromosome mapping,
third-party tools, managing endogamy, shared match and/or shared segment clustering,
success stories, and new DNA methodologies, among many others.

Interested speakers are asked to submit proposals for one-hour webinar presentations that
will be made using PowerPoint, Keynote, or similar software. The speaker will record the
webinar using Screencast-O-Matic (https://screencast-o-matic.com) or similar software, and
it will be made available indefinitely to DNA Central members behind the membership wall.

Proposal Requirements

Speakers are asked to submit proposals in Microsoft Word or PDF format to
TheDNACentral@gmail.com with the subject “DNA Central Webinar Proposal.” Each
proposal must include:

• Speaker's name, address, and e-mail address;
• Lecture title;
• Lecture summary, not to exceed fifty words;
• Detailed lecture outline;
• Expected audience level (beginner, intermediate, advanced, or all);
• Information about whether talk has ever been given before or is scheduled to be given
in the next 12 months; and
• Speaker biography, including resume of speaking experience.

Speakers may submit an unlimited number of lectures. It is expected that approximately 4-6
webinars will be selected, depending on the number and quality of submissions. The deadline
for submission of webinar proposals is July 31, 2018. Invitations are expected to be issued
by August 15, 2018, and speakers will be required to sign a speaker contract by August 31,
2018.

Compensation

Following submission of a recorded webinar and syllabus materials, selected speakers will
receive USD $500 and a one-year membership to DNA Central (existing members will receive
a one-year free renewal).
