Seavers in the News - Agnes Violet (Lyon) Seaver Dies in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1917

It's time for another edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

This week's entry is from the Brooklyn [N.Y.] Times-Union newspaper dated 26 April 1917:

The transcription of the article is:

"Mrs. Agnes Violet L. Seaver.

"Mrs. Agnes Violet L. Seaver" Brooklyn [N.Y.] Times Union newspaper, obituary, Thursday, 26 April 1917, page 6, column 3, Agnes Violet (Lyon) Seaver obituary;   Newspapers.com   (https://www.newspapers.com : accessed 23 May 2019).

This is a very complete obituary with the person's name, implied death date, age, address, parents names, husband's name and occupation, childrens names, and siblings names, plus the deceased's volunteer activities.

I had Agnes Violet (Lyon) Seaver (1874-1917) in my RootsMagic family tree, along with her husband Alfred Laighton Seaver (1872-1957), whom she married on 16 September 1896 in Brooklyn, New York.  Their two children were:

*  Eleanor Badger Seaver (1897-1990), married Reginald Coe Massonneau (1894-1963) in 1923.

*  Alfred Laighton Seaver, Jr. (1902-1991), married Edith Marschalk (1886-1962) in 1935.

After Agnes' death, Alfred Laighton Seaver Sr. married, secondly, Anna Allen Brown (1872-1933) on 16 April 1919 in New York City.

I am a 7th cousin 3 times removed to Alfred Laighton Seaver Sr.
