Tombstone Tuesday -- Constance (Hopkins) Snow (1605-1677) in Cove Burying Ground, Eastham, Mass.

I have collected a number of gravestone photographs from my own camera and from Find A Grave memorials over many years, and thought I would share them one at a time for Tombstone Tuesday.

Here is the gravestone of my 9th great-grandmother, Constance (Hopkins) Snow (1605-1677) in Cove Burying Ground in Eastham, Massachusetts.

The inscription on the relatively modern stone plaque says:

CONSTANCE HOPKINS SNOW
1605-1677
Mayflower Passenger
Wife of Nicholas Snow, Eastham's
First Town Clerk 1646-1662

Placed by Her Descendants
1966

The source citation for this gravestone is:

Find a Grave, database and images (https://www.findagrave.com : accessed 21 September 2020), memorial page for Constance Hopkins Snow (11 May 1606–Oct 1677), Find a Grave Memorial no. 8634, citing Cove Burying Ground, Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, USA ; Maintained by Find A Grave .

Thank you to Find A Grave for creating and maintaining this Find A Grave memorial, and to Mark Wentling and The Guaridan for providing the photographs.

Nicholas Snow (1604-1676) and Constance Hopkins (1605-1677) are my 9th great-grandparents.  They married in 1627 in Plymouth, Mass. and had 10 children.  I am descended through their 2nd child,  Mary Snow (1630-1704) who married Thomas Paine (1633-1706) in 1650 in Eastham, Massachusetts.

  1. My 10th greats also, and Mary Snow & Thomas Paine are my 9th greats (Elisha & Rebecca Doane are 8th greats. We're even more related every time I check. :-)
