New RootsMagic 8 Preview Video on "Tasks"

 RootsMagic continues to tease us with the new features coming in RootsMagic Version 8, which was supposed to release at the end of 2019, and now has no promised release date.

This month, the new features is a "Tasks" tab, which combines the To-Do List, Research Log and Correspondence Log that were separate features in earlier RootsMagic versions.  Here is the new video from RootsMagicTV on YouTube:

I am looking forward to learning how to use the new Version 8 soon.  I know Bruce and Michael are working hard to get this released for both Windows and Mac.  I will continue to have patience.

                        =============================================

Disclosure:  I have been a happy RootsMagic user since 2006, and have purchased every new version.  I have not received any material considerations from RootsMagic.  I purchased Version 8 at RootsTech 2020 last February.

  1. In RM 7 if I was going, for example, to the National Archives in London to research I could create a 'To Do' report listing all the open tasks for Repository = National Archives, and would get a listing of all open To Do items showing Where, Who, When, Status, Details. When I try to do this in RM 8 the listing does not include Who unless I include this in the Task description even though I have created the Task against a person. The list therefore my direct me to, for example, the 1951 UK census - but fails to tell me who I am looking for. Perhaps you could show me a sequence to achieve this.
