4)  NOTES (with source citations as indicated in brackets):

The name Bathrick is in the early Massachusetts records as Bathrick, Batherick, Baverick, Badrick and other spellings.

Thomas Bathrick was born about 1680, probably in Cambridge, Massachusetts Bay, the son of Thomas and Ruth (Buck) Bathrick.  His parents married in 1675 in Charlestown, and had daughter Anna in late 1675 in Charlestown, daughter Ruth in 1677 in Charlestown, and son Jonathan in 1683 in Cambridge.  The son Thomas married in 1701 so 1680 is a fairly good estimate for his birth year.  Some online trees say his birth date is 15 May 1680 but I haven't found the record.

Thomas Bathrick, father of our Thomas, died in November 1683 leaving a widow and four young children.

Thomas "Baverick" married on 9 October 1701 to Elizabeth "Beeger" in Cambridge, Massachusetts Bay[1].  She was the widow of Francis "Begar" (1678-1701) of Cambridge.  Her maiden name may have been Lynn, Linn, or Lyon.  They had seven children, all born in Cambridge and recorded in the Cambridge vital record book:

*  John Batherick (1702-1769), married (1) about 1720 Mary --?-- (1702-1726); (2) about 1727 Elizabeth Godding (1708-1747); (3) 1747 Ruth Hook (1715-1795).
*  Ruth Batherick (1703-????), married 1725 Patrick Brown (1690-1733).
*  Elizabeth Batherick (1705-????)
*  Thomas Batherick (1709-????), married 1734 Martha Tisaker (1716-????).
*  William Batherick (1710-????).
*  Jonathan Batherick (1713-????).
*  Samuel Batherick (1718-1804), married 1740 Susanna Ewers (1723-1806).

Thomas Bathrick died 20 August 1762 in Arlington, Massachusetts[2].  The record says "age  87," which implies a birth year of about 1675.  The Arlington vital record book indicates "P.R." which means that the record is from a "Private Record" - in this case "Rev. Samuel Cooke's 'Abstract of Births, Deaths and Marriages' now in the possession of the Arlington Historical Society."

There is no burial record for Thomas Bathrick on Find A Grave, and there is no probate record for Thomas Bathrick in the Middlesex County Probate Record books.

NOTE: In 2014, Amy Johnson Crow suggested a weekly blog theme of "52 Ancestors" in her blog post 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks on the No Story Too Small blog. I have extended this theme in 2021 for an eighth year to 416 Ancestors in 416 Weeks. The list of 52 Ancestors biographies from my great-grandparents to the 7th great-grandparents (in work) is in https://www.geneamusings.com/p/ancestor-biographies.html.
