Randy at the Ted Williams Display in the Baseball Hall of Fame -- Post 690 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite photographs:

This photograph was taken in May 2004 in Cooperstown, New York at the Baseball Hall of Fame.  That's yours truly at the Ted Williams display at that time.  He was my favorite player who was not Tony Gwynn, and was a San Diego boy - played for the Padres in 1937 before playing for the Red Sox into the 1960s.  My mother remembered seeing him play at the North Park field in the 1930s.  But he went to Hoover High and mom went to San Diego.  My dad was a Red Sox fan so we followed them and Ted every day in the papers.

We flew east to celebrate my cousin's 50th wedding anniversary in Easton, Pennsylvania, and then did some sightseeing and genealogy research in New Jersey, New York, Ontario and Pennsylvania.  This is the only time I've been to these states to do research, and it was fascinating and fruitful and fun.
