4)  NOTES (with source citations as indicated in brackets):

Elizabeth Cadman was born in about 1685, probably in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, the daughter of George and Hannah (Hathaway) Cadman of Dartmouthv.  She was the 2nd great-granddaughter of Mayflower Pilgrims Francis and Richard Warren.  Many online family trees have a birth date of 6 June 1685 but there are no original or derivative records with that date.

Elizabeth Cadman and William White married in about 1707, probably in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, since their first child was born in about 1708. William was the son of Sylvanus and Deborah (--?--) White of Dartmouth.  They had 11 children, all probably born in Dartmouth, but none are recorded in Dartmouth town records[1]:

*  William White (c1708-c1780), married 1729 Abigail Thurston (1700-b1770).
*  George White (c1710-1764), married 1731 Debroah Shaw (1711-1766).
*  Sarah White (c1711-1795), married 1726 John Brown (1705-1773).
*  Hannah White (c1712-1792), married 1730 William Taber (1705-1758).
*  Roger White (c1713-1802), married 1736 Rebecca Grinnell (1710-1802).
*  Christopher White (c1715-1795), married 1739 Elizabeth Thurston (1719-1782).
*  Susanna White (c1717-a1780).
*  Elizabeth White (c1719-1749), married 1737 Benjamin Slocum (1714-1792).
*  Oliver White (c1723-1791), married 1747 Mary Sherman (1725-1811).
*  Abner White (1725-1794), married 1746 Ruth Brownell (1727-1806).
*  Thomas White (1730-a1768), married 1755 Sarah Norton (c1730-????).

William and Elizabeth (Cadman) White received land in Dartmouth from George Cadman, Elizabeth's father, who died in 1718, in his will[2], which reads:
"To my loveing daughter Elizabeth White & to her Husband William White all the upland & meadow that is laid out where they now live with two acres & fifty Rods of Sedg flat Lying in acoxset river at the Shiprock flat & one hundred & five acres of land in the four hundred acre devition as it is laid out & quallified & one quarter of an acre of Seder Swomp all the ab[ovesd] land meadow & Ceder Swomp is ... within the Township of [Dart]mouth afre Sd [Farther I Give ... to] my Sd daughter Elisabeth & her Husband William White the one half of my last dev[i]tion of land the above Sd land meadow & Ceder Swomp given to my Sd daughter Elisabeth White & her Husband William White to be & remain to them dureing ... their naturall Lives and after their deceas the Homested farm where the Sd William White now liveth I Give to my Granson William White."
The will of William White (1683-before 1780) was written on 6 January 1768 and proved on 3 October 1780 in Bristol County, Massachusetts[3].  There are four pages in Case File 28,020.   The will of William White provided for maintenance of his wife, Elizabeth White, by their daughter Susannah White.  The paragraph says:
"Itim I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Daughter Susannah White all the Rest & Residue of my Estate be it of what nature or Cinde so ever or Wheresoever it may be found due owing or Coming unto me by any ways or means both Raal & personal which is not herein before otherwise Disposed of to be & Remain unto her my said Daughter & to her heirs & assigns forever She my said Daughter providing procuring & Decently maintaining & Looking after my well beloved wife In her aged week & Low Condition both in Sickness & In health for & During the term of the Natural Life of my Said wife Elizabeth White her mother and with y^e use & Improvement of the farm & houseing together with the profits thereof Whereon I now Live to maintain her s^d Mother With all sorts of the nessasaries of Life Decently During the term of my sd Wifes Natural Life. If my s^d Daughter Lives So Long but if She my s^d Daughter Should not Live so long as her Mother then so much of that Estate which I have herein given here my said Daughter to Enable her to maintain her mother Shall Return and pay all the Charges that Shall a Rise for Looking after my s^d wife after the Death of my s^d Daughter Susannah."
Elizabeth (Cadman) White probably died between 6 January 1768, when she was named in the will of her husband, and 3 October 1780, when her husband's will was proved[1].  There are no death records for her in Dartmouth or surrounding towns.

There is a Find a Grave memorial for Elizabeth (Cadman) White but there is no extant grave.  She may have been buried in Dartmouth or on the William White homestead farm in Dartmouth.
