Treasure Chest Thursday - 1728 Baptism of Grace Crabb (1728-1769) in Trowbridge, Wiltshire

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1728 baptism record for Grace Crabb in the Trowbridge, Wiltshire parish register:

The baptism entry for Grace Crabb is the second-to-last entry on this image:

The transcription of the information on this record is:

"[Septem'br 1728] Grace Dat'r of Joseph & Grace Crabb, 15'th"

The source citation for this census record is:

Wiltshire England Baptisms, Trowbridge, Grace Crabb baptism entry, 15 September 1728, daughter of Joseph and Grace Crabb; imaged, "Wiltshire, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812,"  Ancestry.com (https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/2677739:61187 : accessed 2 October 2024), St. James with St. Stephen Church, Trowbridge > Parish Registers > 1655-1760, image 175 of 350; Original data: Wiltshire Church of England Parish Registers, Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre, Chippenham, Wiltshire, England.

This is an Original Source record (because it is a church parish record book with information recorded as it occurred) with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the name and baptism date of Grace Crabb, and the names of her parents.

Grace Crabb was born before 15 September 1728 in St James with St. Stephen Church in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, the daughter of Joseph and Grace (Cox) Crabb.  She was buried on 22 January 1769 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.  Grace Crabb married William Noad (c1722-????) on 27 September 1750 in Staverton, Wiltshire.

William and Grace (Crabb) Noad are my 5th great-grandparents; they had at least 7 children, including my 4th great-grandmother Betty Noad (1767-1814) who married William Rich (1766-1835) in 1788 in Trowbridge.
