Betty and Her Grands in 1920 -- (Not So) Wordless Wednesday #862

I found another priceless (to me) photograph in my computer file folders:

This photograph is labeled "1 yr" so it was probably taken in 1920 around Betty Virginia Carringer's first birthday on 30 July 1920.  The persons in this photograph are (from the left):
  • Georgianna (Kemp) Auble (1868-1952), Betty's maternal grandmother.
  • Henry Austin Carringer (1853-1946), Betty's paternal grandfather.
  • Betty Virginia Carringer (1919-2002), my mother and daughter of Lyle Lawrence Carringer (1891-1976) and Emily Kemp (Auble) Carringer (1899-1977).
  • Abbey Ardelle "Della" (Smith) Carringer (1862-944), Betty's paternal grandmother.
  • Abbie A. (Vaux) Smith (1844-1931), Betty's paternal great-grandmother.

The setting is probably outside the Lyle Carringer home at 2054 Harrison Street in San Diego.  My grandfather, Kyle Carringer, probably took this photograph.

This photograph helps me estimate the adult height of all of the persons in the photograph (except for my mother, of course).  I know that Austin Carringer was about 5 feet, 7 inches tall.  So Georgianna was about 5 feet 6 inches tall, Della (Smith) Carringer was about 5 feet 1 inch tall, and Abbie A. (Vaux) Smith was about 5 feet 2 inches tall.

This photograph is a part of my family history.  I used the MyHeritage Photo tools to enhance and colorize a black and white photograph.  Unfortunately, the MyHeritage photo tools cannot adjust the contrast of this photograph.  I will try to find a photo tool that can increase the contrast and make ituniform and make this photograph better.
