The treasure today is the 1677 marriage record for Thomas Read and Mary Goodridge in the Sudbury, Massachusetts vital record book:

The transcription of the birth entry is:
"[READ] Tho[mas] and Mary Goodridge, May 30, [16]77. M.R."

This is a Derivative Source record which was extracted from an earlier Sudbury record book (no longer extant or available), for the marriage of Thomas Read and Mary Goodridge in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony. It is Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the names of Thomas and Mary the marriage date and marriage place.
Thomas Read (1653--1733) was the only known child of Thomas and Katherine (--?--) Read of Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Mary Goodrich (1650-1724) was the third child of John and Elizabeth (--?--) Goodrich of Sudbury. Thomas and Mary (Goodrich) Read are my 8th great-grandparents, through their daughter Mary Read (1679-????) who married Joseph Seaver (1672-1754) in 1701.
