RootsTech 2022 Conference Website is Live!!

The FamilySearch blog has the post Navigating the RootsTech 2022 Website today.

This covers everything you need to know about the FREE, VIRTUAL RootsTech 2022 Conference that will be held from March 3 to 5 - next week!  Some bullet points:

*  The Main Stage starts at 10 a.m. Mountain time (9 a.m. Pacific time, 11 a.m. Central time, 12 noon Eastern time) on Thursday, 3 March 2022.  The opening presentation will be by Steve Rockwood, the CEO of FamilySearch International.  Other Keynote speakers will make their presentations throughout the three days of the conference.  The Calendar lists the times and speakers for each day - Thursday 3 March , Friday 4 March, and Saturday 5 March.

*  There are 900 2022 sessions with presentations about genealogy and family history, and you can watch them once the Conference opens.  These are listed on the Calendar under Sessions, with times listed in the Thursday, Friday or Saturday tabs.  You can add sessions to your Playlist to watch them.  After the listed times, you should be able to watch them at your leisure.  The 1500 sessions from 2021 are still available to watch at your leisure.

On the Home page, the Sessions tab has links to Getting Started, Research Location, Topic, Content Type, Sponsor or Exhibitor, Language, speaker and Year.  The "Topic" link has specific topics for research.

*  The Virtual Expo Hall opens at 7 a.m. PST (8 a.m. MST, 9 a.m. CST, 10 a.m. EST), with about 100 sponsors and exhibitors.  There are companies, organizations and vendor demonstrations.  Companies may have show specials for their products.

*  There is a Chat feature to talk on the Home page, in public or in private, with another attendee, a group, a company representative, or a FamilySearch person.  Attendees can create Groups, which will be public.

*  There is a Help feature to obtain self-help, one-on-one help, and community help.  You can sign up to receive research help from a FamilySearch researcher.

*  The Connection feature on the Home page connects you to the Relatives at RootsTech app, which is active now, and will be until 25 March.

You can register for RootsTech 2022 for FREE at https://www.familysearch.org/rootstech/.  As of today, there are over 550,000 registrants from over 220 countries for this conference from around the world.
