Dewing         To all Christian People before whom 

    to               this Deed of Sale shall come Andrew Dewing of Dedham in 

Plimpton       the County of Suffolk in His Majestys Province of the Massachusetts Bay 

in New England Sendeth Greeting & Co Know Ye That I the 

said Andrew Dewing Do alienate and Sell for and in Conside-

ration of Forty Shillings of good Current Money in hand 

Received and well and truly paid by John Plimpton of Medfield 

in the County aforesaid wherewith I do acknowledge 

my Self fully paid to my good Content and therefore I do 

hereby for my Self and my Heirs fully and absolutely acquitt 

and Discharge the said John Plimpton and his Heirs

there from forever Have and by these Presents Do Give Grant

Enfeoff alienate Sell and Confirm to the said John Plimpton 

and to his Heirs Executors admors and assigns forever ... 

Seventy Acres of Land more or less my whole woodlott as it

lyeth in Dedham aforesaid in the General Divident near

Medfield as it is Bounded and abutteth upon the Land

granted to Henry White towards the South and upon the 

Land Granted to John Bacon in part and the End of the

Common Meadow in part towards the North Medfield 

Pound Line West and the Waste Land East all which said 

Land as it is Described Bounded and abutted as aforesaid 

I the said Andrew Dewing Do hereby avouch my Self to be the 

true Sole owner thereof and in my own power the Same 

Legally to make sale of at the Day of the date hereof and 

with the said Land I do hereby Warrant all the Wood 

Timber Profits Fruits Benefits & advantages that are in 

& upon or in any ways properly belonging thereunto or that 

may at any Time hereafter be attained therefrom To be abide

& Remain & good Estate of Sound Inheritance in Fee Simple

In this deed, Andrew Dewing of Dedham sold 70 acres of woodlot land on the southwest side of Dedham to John Plimpton of Medfield for 40 shillings.  The deed was written in 22 March 1699/1700, and recorded in the Suffolk County deed register on 25 December 1742.  It is likely that the deed was registered as the result of a probate of John Plimpton's widow or of one of his children.

John Plimpton (1649-1704) was born 16 June 1649 in Dedham, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the son of John Plimpton and Jane Dammant.  He married (1) Elizabeth Fisher (1659-1694) on 2 January 1678 in Medfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony, and they had three childen.  He married (2) Sarah Turner (1663-1738) on 28 February 1697 in Medfield, and they had two children.  John died 30 January 1704 in Medfield leaving a widow and at least three children.    

John Plimpton (1649-1704) and Elizabeth (Fisher) Plimpton (1659-1694) are my 8th great-grandparents, and are the parents of my 7th great-grandfather John Plimpton (1680-1730) who married Susanna Draper (1687-1769) in 1707 in Medfield.

"Ode to Alexander Sovereen" -- Family History Poem, Song, Audio Overview and Video Overview Created by Artificial Intelligence

 I've used FREE Artificial Intelligence tools to create biographies, poems, songs and podcasts about my ancestors lives, plus my genealogy research and family history in the recent past. Every ancestor lives a unique life with unique relationships and life stories.  

Today, I want to share a poem, song, podcast and video about my third great-grandfather, Alexander Sovereen (1814-1907) of Ontario, #62 on my Ahnentafel list.

I requested ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, and Claude (all FREE AI tools) to create poems and song lyrics, and Google NotebookLM to create an Audio Overview (a podcast) and a Video Overview (a presentation), to describe and celebrate the life of Alexander Sovereen (1814-1907).  I uploaded a PDF of my genealogical sketch which has all of the information I have about the life of Alexander Sovereen in 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks - Week 55: #62, Alexander Sovereen (1814- 1907).

1)  The prompt I used for the poem and song lyrics was: "Please write a poem and song lyrics to describe and celebrate the life and legacy of Alexander Sovereen (1814-1907) using the attached document."

2)  I chose the poem created by Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.5 today:
