Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1736 Death Record of Ruth Willis in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony

The treasure today is the 1736 death record for Ruth Willis in the Sudbury, Massachusetts town record book:

The transcription of the marriage entry is:

"Ruth Willis, widdow Died September 1'st 1736."

This is a Derivative Source record which was extracted from an earlier Sudbury record book (no longer extant or available), for the death of Ruth Willis in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony.  The record book is organized by the first letter of the surname, and then by death date in each surname letter, and is all in one hand. It is Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the married name of Ruth Willis and her death date and location.

Roger Willis (1634-1700), son of Samuel and Grace (--?--) Willis, married Ruth Hill (1644-1738), daughter of John and Frances (--?--) Hill, on 19 July 1664 in Dorchester, Massachusetts Bay Colony.  They are my 8th great-grandparents, through their son Samuel Willis (1675-1758) who married Susannah Gleason (1676-1756) in 1703.
