Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1664 Marriage of Roger Willis (1635-1700) and Ruth Hill (1644-1734) in Dorchester, Massachusetts Bay Colony

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - a time to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1664 marriage record for Roger Willis and Ruth Hill in the Dorchester,  Massachusetts vital record book:
The marriage record for Roger Willis and Ruth Hill is the first entry in the 1664 list on page 21:

The transcription of the marriage entry is:

"Roger Willis married. to Ruth Hill 19th (5th mo.) 1664."

The source citation for this record is:

Vital Records of the Town of Dorchester from 1826 to 1849 (Boston, Mass. : Municipal Printing Office, 1905), Marriages, page 21, Roger Willis and Ruth Hill entry, 19 5tgh mo. [July] 1664.
This is a Derivative Source record which was extracted from an earlier Dorchester record book (no longer extant or available), for the marriage of Roger Willis and Ruth Hill in Dorchester, Massachusetts Bay Colony.  It is Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the names of Roger Willis and Ruth Hill and their marriage date and location.
