Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Where Were Your Ancestral Families in the 1950 US Census?

Calling all Genea-Musings Fans: 

 It's Saturday Night again - 

time for some more Genealogy Fun!!

Here is your assignment, should you decide to accept it (you ARE reading this, so I assume that you really want to play along - cue the Mission Impossible music!):

1)  The 1950 United States Census release to the public is just over two years away (on 1 April 2022).  

2) Who in your ancestral families will be in the 1950 census?  Where will they be residing,  What occupations will they have?  The official "date" was 1 April 1950.

3)  Share your conjectures with us in your own blog post, in a comment on this blog post, or in a Facebook message.  Please leave a comment on this blog noting where your conjectures are located.

Here's mine:

A.  I am very sure that my parents family resided at 2119 30th Street in San Diego, California, and that my father was an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance.  The household should include:

*  Frederick W. Seaver - age 38, born in Massachusetts, an insurance agent.
*  Betty V. Seaver - age 30, born in California, a homemaker (or perhaps an artist?).
*  Randall J. Seaver - age 6, born in California, attends school.
*  Stanley R. Seaver - age 3, born in California.

B.  I am very sure that my maternal grandparents resided at 2130 Fern Street in San Diego, California, and that my grandfather was a department store auditor (or similar).  My great-grandmother resided with them.  The household should include:

*  Lyle L. Carringer - age 58, born in California, an auditor in a department store.
*  Emily K. Carringer - age 50, born in Illinois, a homemaker.
*  Georgia K. Auble - age  81, born in Ontario, retired or a homemaker.

C.  I'm not sure where my paternal grandmother resided - probably in Leominster, Massachusetts.  Her daughter, Geraldine, probably lived with her.  The household should include:

*  Alma B. Seaver - age 67, born in Connecticut, a homemaker or perhaps an organist.
*  Geraldine Seaver - age 32, born in Massachusetts, a music teacher.

D.  My mother was an only child, and her parents were only children.  So the closest relatives on my mother's side were probably Kemp and Auble second cousins in Los Angeles area.  

E.  My father had five living siblings, four of whom were married and had children.  I don't know where they lived exactly in 1950 - probably in South Carolina, Ashburnham, Massachusetts, Clinton, Mass., and Leominster, Mass.  

It will be fun to find out where everyone resided in 1950.

In order to select a specific record collection on FamilySearch, go to  https://familysearch.org/search/collection/list and use the "Filter by collection name" feature in the upper left-hand corner and use keywords (e.g. "church england") to find collections with those keywords.

My friend, Marshall, has come up with a program to determine which collections are ADDED, DELETED or UPDATED.  Thanks to Marshall for helping me out here!

Each one of the collections listed above has a Research Wiki page (use the "Learn more" link).  It would be very useful if the Wiki page for each collection listed the dates for when the collection was added as a new collection and the dates for major updates also.
