===========================================

In order to select a specific record collection on FamilySearch, go to  https://familysearch.org/search/collection/list and use the "Filter by collection name" feature in the upper left-hand corner and use keywords (e.g. "church england") to find collections with those keywords.

My friend, Marshall, has come up with a way to determine which collections are ADDED, DELETED or UPDATED.  Thanks to Marshall for helping me out here!

Each one of the collections listed above has a Research Wiki page (use the "Learn more" link).  It would be very useful if the Wiki page for each collection listed the dates for when the collection was added as a new collection and the dates for major updates also.

Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Ancestor Life Sketch Tweets

It's Saturday Night -

time for more Genealogy Fun!

Your mission, should you decide to accept it (cue the Mission Impossible! music) is to:

1)  Gail Dever in a blog post suggested writing a life sketch tweet with no more than 280 characters for a specific ancestor.

2)  For this Saturday Night Genealogy Fun, write two or more life sketch tweets with no more than 280 characters for your ancestors.

3)  Share them with us in your own blog post, in a comment to this post, or on Facebook.  Please link to your post in a comment to this post.

Here are mine:

a)  Frederick Walton Seaver (1876-1942) was born in Leominster, Mass., married Alma Bess Richmond in 1900, and died in Lawrence, Mass.  They had 7 children, and resided in Leominster.  He was a combmaker and superintendent of a celluloid company in Leominster.

b)  Frank Walton Seaver (1852-1922) was born in Westminster, Mass., married Harriet Hildreth in 1874, and died in Leominster, Mass.  They had 3 children, and resided in Westminster and Leominster.  He was a teamster and worked in a horn shop in Leominster.

c)  Isaac Seaver (1823-1901) was born in Westminster, Mass., married 3 times (Juliet Glazier in 1846, Lucretia Smith in 1851, Alvina Bradley in 1884).  He had 5 children.  He served in the Civil War, and received a pension.  He was a blacksmith and died in Leominster, Mass.

d)  Benjamin Seaver (1791-1825) was born in Westminster, Mass., married Abigail Gates in 1817 and had 4 children.  He served in the War of 1812 in Colonel Messenger's Regiment.  He was a farmer, died in Westminster, Mass. and is buried in Whitmanville Cemetery there.

Pretty boring, I guess.  With more characters, I could add cause of death and more detail.
