SDGS Meeting on Saturday, May 11, is on Computer Security and Identity Theft

The May 11th meeting of the San Diego Genealogical Society will feature Daniel Libby on the topic of "Computer Security and Identity Theft."

The program starts at 10 a.m. at St. Andrews Lutheran Church at 8350 Lake Murray Blvd. in the San Carlos area of San Diego (at the intersection with Jackson Drive).

Computer Security and Identity Theft are two very important topics for each of us in our everyday life as citizens and genealogists.

Mr. Libby holds the following professional certifications:

*  Certified Forensic Consultant (CFC)
*  Access Data Certified Examiner (ADCE)
*  Certified in Homeland Security (CHS-III).

He is a highly respected speaker and expert witness on these topics.

He served as a member of the U.S. National Security Agency/Central Security Service as a member of the U.S. Naval Security Group from 1976 to 2000.  Daniel retired as a Chief Warrant Officer (W4) and, upon retirement, attended the University of California San Diego in their Information Systems Forensic program.

Seeing the forthcoming opportunities in the electronic evidence arena, he formed Digital Forensics, Inc., which focuses on forensic processing of digital evidence, in computers, video and audio.  The company serves government, corporate and legal clientele.
