Treasure Chest Tuesday - 1910 U.S. Census Record for Nicholas Brocke Family in Latah County, Idaho

This week's Tuesday treasure is the 1910 United States Census record for the Nicholas Brocke family enumerated in Kendrick, Latah County, Idaho:

*  Annie Brocke - wife, female, white, age 52, first marriage, married 33 years, 8 children born, 8 living, born Missouri, father born Ger[many], mother born Ger[many], speaks English, a Mom, can read and write
*  Nickolas Brocke - son, male, white, age 15, single, born Idaho, father born Ger[many], mother born Ger[many], speaks English, a farmer, works on home farm, works on own account, can read and write, attended school, owns farm free of mortgage.

By the time of the 1910 U.S. census, seven of the children of Nicolas and Anna (Grieser) Brocke had started their own families and had left home.  Only their youngest son, Nicholas Francis Brocke, age 15, was still living with his parents.

There are several errors for these entries - the parents of son Nicolas Brocke were born in Micvhigan and Idaho, and I doubt that he owned the farm he worked on - that indicator probably belongs on the next line down.

Nicholas and Anna (Grieser) Brocke are my wife's great-grandparents, Their fifth child, Amelia Anna Brocke (1884-1975), who married Severt Leland in 1904 in Montana, is my wife's paternal grandmother.
