My criteria for "Best of ..." are pretty simple - I pick posts that advance knowledge about genealogy and family history, address current genealogy issues, provide personal family history, are funny or are poignant. I don't list posts destined for daily blog prompts or meme submissions (but I do include summaries of them), or my own posts.

Thank you for including my Bryan quandary on your list this week. :)
Can you help me verify if Margaret Goodricke & Sir Francis Bayldon are parents of Richard Bayldon(Belden) immigrant to Wethersfield, Conn.?? My husband's haplogrouo is R1b(M343) with 12 loci & STRs very similar to the Conquerors from whom he's supposed to be descended. The debate rages about Richard's "proofs" right now. Norton is just behind Goodricke,etc. Maybe DNA can solve the quandry??
