4)  NOTES (with source citations as indicated in brackets):

Only one book about the Wheeler families of Concord, Massachusetts provides significant information about Thankful Wheeler's birth family.  Albert Gallatin Wheeler published The Genealogical and Encyclopedic History of the Wheeler Family In America  in 1914[1].  Other books have information about her ancestral families in Concord, Massachusetts and Cranbrook, England.

Thankful Wheeler was born 3 June 1682 in Concord, Massachusetts, the daughter and the last of nine children of John and Sarah (Larkin) Wheeler of Concord[2].  She was a twin to brother Ebenezer,

She married Jonas Prescott (1678-1750) at age 17 on 5 October 1699 in Concord[3].  He was the son of Jonas and Mary (Loker) Prescott of Concord.  They resided the rest of their lives in Groton, Massachusetts. They had five children, all born and recorded in Groton:

*  Ebenezer Prescott (1700-1771), married 1721 Hannah Farnsworth (1702-????).
*  Jonas Prescott (1703-1784), married 1731 Elizabeth Harwood (1701-1739).
*  Thankful Prescott (1705-????), married (1) 1726, Timothy Spaulding (1700-1734); (2) 1741 Joseph Baldwin (1702-1747); (3) 1752 John Marshall (1700-1757)
*  Mary Prescott (1711-1793), married 1728 Joseph Stone (1702-1777).
*  Sarah Prescott (1712-1737), married 1732 Samuel Minot (1706-1766).

Thankful (Wheeler) Prescott died on 6 November 1716 at age 34, leaving Jonas with five minor children to support[5].

She is probably buried with her husband Jonas in the Old Burying Ground  in Westford, Massachusetts, but there is no extant record or gravestone[6].

NOTE: In 2014, Amy Johnson Crow suggested a weekly blog theme of "52 Ancestors" in her blog post 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks on the No Story Too Small blog. I have extended this theme in 2021 for an eighth year to 416 Ancestors in 416 Weeks. The list of 52 Ancestors biographies from my great-grandparents to the 7th great-grandparents (in work) is in https://www.geneamusings.com/p/ancestor-biographies.html.
