Seavers In The News -- Estella Blanche Seaver (1879-1952) Dies in 1952 in Florida

It's time for another edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

This week's entry is from The Miami [Fla/.] Herald newspaper dated 11 July 1952:

The transcription of the article is:

"Mrs. Seaver Dies in New Smyrna

This obituary provides a married name, a birth date and place, a death date and place, the names of her husband, child and sibling, a residence, but without a maiden name, parents names, or occupation and associations.

Estella Blanche Hier (1879-1952) was born 7 March 1879 in Ionia County, Michigan, the daughter of Charles Oscar and Margaret (Luscher) Hier.  She married (1) 1900 Jerry Kitchen, and (2) Allyn Marcellus Seaver (1871-1957) on 21 July 1943 in Charlton, Massachusetts.  This was her second marriage, and she had one child, Elizabeth, by her first marriage with Jerry Kitchen in 1900..

I am probably related to Allyn Marcellus Seaver.  He is descended from John Seaver (1778-1841) and Susanna Trumbull (1783-1840).  John Seaver may be descended from Robert Seaver (1608-1683) of Roxbury, Massachusetts, but I have not found the link between them.

There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this was one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person has very few living family members. I am glad that I can honor Estella Blanche (Hier) (Kitchen) Seaver today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
