52 Ancestors - Week 449: #719 Mary (Tripp) Wate (1689-a1739) of Dartmouth, Massachusetts

 Mary Tripp (1689-1739) is #719 on my Ahnentafel List, my 7th great-grandmother, who married #718 Thomas Wate (or Waite) (1683-a1743)  in 1711, in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

I am descended through:

Mary Tripp was born 22 August 1689 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, the daughter of Joseph and Mehitable (Fish) Tripp[1-4].

She married on 5 Jan 1710/11 in Dartmouth to Thomas Wate (1683-a1743), born 22 April 1683 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, the son of Reuben and Tabitha (Launders) Wait[5-6].  They had eight children, all born in Dartmouth or Rhode Island:  

*  John Waite (1711-1770), married 1733 Elizabeth Sullivant (1711-1770).
*  Reuben Waite (1713-a1754), married 1735 Rebecca Soule (1715-1747).
*  Thomas Waite (1716-1790), married 1743 Tabitha Ellis (1721-1813).
*  Mary Waite (1718-1803), married 1743  William Tripp (1712-1785).
*  Meriban Waite (1720-1803), married 1742 Benjamin Soule (1719-1803).
*  Mehitable Waite (1722-1799), married 1746 Henry Reynolds (1724-1777).
*  Martha Waite )1725-????).
*  Alice Waite (1729-????).

Mary's father, Joseph Tripp, wrote his will on 29 December 1713 and it was proved in Bristol County Probate Court on 7 January 18718/9.  In his will, he bequeathed:
"Item I Give to my Daughter Mary Wait Two shillings in mony."
Mary (Tripp) Wait died sometime after 1739, probably in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.  There is no death record, burial record or probate record for her.
