Treasure Chest Thursday - 1723 Christening of Thomas Angel (1723-1770) in Lacock, Wiltshire

It's Treasure Chest Thursday -- a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1723 christening entry for Thomas Angel in the Lacock, Wiltshire Church of England parish records:

The christening entry is the first entry at the top of the page of 1723 Christenings:

The transcription of this record is::

"Feb:12'th: [1723] Thomas, Son of Jacob & Betty Angel."

The source citation for this record is:

"Wiltshire, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812," indexed database with record images, Ancestry.com (https://www.ancestry.com), Lacock > Parish Registers > 1717-1780, image 23 of 172, Thomas Angel christening, 12 February 1723.

This is an entry in the Lacock, Wiltshire Church of England parish register.  It is an Original Source with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the christening of Thomas Angel on 12 February 1723 in Lacock.  Thomas Angel was the son of Jacob Angel and Betty Brinkworth of Lacock.  He married Betty Hiscock (1717-1758), the daughter of John and Grace (Braddin) Hiscock of Lacock, on 9 July 1745 in Lacock.

Thomas and Betty (Hiscock) Angel are my 5th great-grandparents; they had at least 6 children, including my 4th great-grandmother Anne Angel (1748-1795).
