I received this information from Family Tree Magazine's email service, and thought it might help some of you in your research:
www.Familyrelatives.org is currently offering for FREE the following records - that means you can search over 100 million US Records for FREE:
* Social Security Death Index
* WWII Army Enlistment Records (1938-1946)
* WWII Army POW Records (1941-1946)
* Korean War POW Records (1950-1953)
* Korean War Army War Dead and Wounded (1950-1953)
* Passengers who arrived at New York (1846-1851) during the Irish Famine
If you are not a member of Familyrelatives.org, then you will have to register, but it doesn't cost anything. This web site is usually a site to find vital and other records for the British Isles for a fee, but access to these US records is free for an unspecified period of time.
If you need records from these resources, you might want to investigate this offer.
