FGS 2015 Conference - News and Session Selections

The Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS) 2015 Conference in Salt Lake City is less than a month away.  There are some announcements - see the www.FGS.org web page:

1)  Early Registration ($159 for four days) ends on 23 January.  After that, Regular Registration ($189) ends 6 February 2015, and Onsite Registration ($239) begins 10 February 2015.

2)  The FGS Conference App has been released for iOS and Android mobile devices.  See the FGS blog post FGS 2015: A Look at the Conference App for more details and screen shots.

3)  The 16-page printed brochure with the speaker session schedule is out - see  https://www.fgsconference.org/assets/files/FGS2015_RegistrationBooklet.pdf.  You can download it from the site.

 FGS sessions will focus on methodology, records, ethnic research, and migration for honing your research skills and society issues to motivate and inspire society volunteers. 

4)  There are always more sessions of interest in each time slot, and I don't attend a presentation in every time slot.  If I did, these are the sessions I would try to attend:

*  4:30 p.m.:  Michael Lacopo, on "Using Tax Records for Genealogical Problem Solving"

I need to balance attending these presentations with my work in the Media Center, roaming the Expo Hall, attending the RootsTech presentations, and research in the Family History Library.  I need two clones, I fear!  Two conferences in one place is one too many.
