Surname Saturday -- WELBY (England to colonial Massachusetts)

It's Surname Saturday, and I'm "counting down" my Ancestral Name List each week.

I am working in the 9th great-grandmothers by Ahnentafel number, and I am up to Ancestor #2395 who is Olive WELBY (1604-1692). [Note: the more recent ancestral families have been covered in earlier posts.]

2394.  Henry Farwell, born about 1605 in Boston, Lincolnshire, England; died 01 August 1670 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States.  He was the son of 4788. William Farwell and 4789. Dorothy LNU.  He married 16 April 1629 in Boston, Lincolnshire, England.
2395.  Olive Welby, born before 17 June 1604 in Moulton, Lincolnshire, England; died 01 March 1692 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States.

Children of Henry Farwell and Olive Welby are:

*  Samuel Farwell (1633-1634).

Joseph Farwell (1641-1722), married 1666 Hannah Learned (1649-1711).
*  Mary Farwell (1643-1714), married 1665 John Bates (1642-1722).
*  Olive Farwell (1645-????), married 1668 Benjamin Spalding (1643-1708).

4790.  Richard Welby, born before 01 January 1564 in Moulton, Lincolnshire, England;  He was the son of 8580. Thomas Welby and 8581. Elizabeth Thimbleby.  He married  04 January 1595 in Whaplode, Lincolnshire, England.
4791.  Frances Bulkeley, born before 01 January 1568 in Odell, Bedfordshire, England; died 1610 in Moulton, Lincolnshire, England.  She was the daughter of 9582. Edward Bulkeley and 9583. Olive Irby.

Children of Richard Welby and Frances Bulkeley are:
*  Thomas Welby (1597-????), married 1620 Elizabeth Parke (1599-????).
*  Anne Welby (1600-????).
*  Anthony Welby (1602-1603).
Olive Welby (1604-1692), married 1629 Henry Farwell (1605-1670).
*  Edward Welby (1608-????).

i am also a welby decendent, my name is andrew charles welby im 38 from pontiac michigan, im trying to bridge the 1700s gap in my lineage. olive welby would have been my 10th great aunt i believe. i am the last welby male in my family line so i am trying to preserve the history for them.
