My Maternal Grandparents and Great-Grandparent in 1932 -- Post 665 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

 I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite colorized photographs:

This photograph is from about 1932, and the setting is the backyard of my grandparents home in San Diego at 2130 Fern Street.  From the left, the people are:

*  Emily Kemp (Auble) Carringer (1899-1977), my maternal grandmother

*  Lyle Lawrence Carringer (1891-1976), my maternal grandfather.

*  Georgianna (Kemp) Auble (1868-1952), my great-grandmother.

They had a greenhouse in their back yard and grew flowers and fruit and vegetables year round.  It had fountains and fish ponds and was a wonderful playground for me as a young child.

I wish my mother had been in this photograph to give it a three-generation look.  Perhaps she took the photograph.  They are all dressed up for some event - perhaps Easter or Mother's Day.

This photograph was originally black-and-white and I colorized it and enhanced using the MyHeritage InColor photo tools.  I am pretty sure that Emily's dress was not that color!
