Scores of genealogy and family history bloggers write thousands of posts every week about their research, their families, and their interests. I appreciate each one of them and their efforts.
My criteria for "Best of ..." are pretty simple - I pick posts that advance knowledge about genealogy and family history, address current genealogy issues, provide personal family history, are funny or are poignant. I don't list posts destined for daily blog prompts or meme submissions (but I do include summaries of them), or my own posts.
Here are my picks for great reads from the genealogy blogs for this past week:

Thank you for this week's mention. My husband has a lot of Scots-Irish, so I did some deep digging to learn more.
The result of one of the links is "Your access to this site has been limited by the site owner
Your access to this service has been limited. (HTTP response code 503)". Useless link.
It's both links by Linda Stufflebean that don't work, don't give access. One is about Scottish genealogy, but can't be read in Europe, apparently. Quite useless.
This has happened before when Linda's site has suffered spam attacks from outside the US. It was fixed briefly last week, but is now a problem again. Hopefully someone can let Linda know so she can fix it. Her posts are definitely worth feeding and can be read using the Feedly website, once subscribed to her RSS feed - though you can't click directly through, you see a simplified version of the page.
