Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1732 Death Record of Christopher Champlain in Westerly, Rhode Island

I looked in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and   genealogy musings for Treasure Chest Thursday.

The treasure today is the 1732 death record of  Christopher Champlain in Westerly, Rhode Island:
The death record is the last entry in the Champlain listings:

The transcription of this death record is:

"[Champlain] Christopher, died Apr. 2, 1732"

The source citation for the death record is:

James N. Arnold (editor), The Narragansett Historical Register, A Magazine Devoted to the Antiquities, Genealogy and Historical Matter Illustrating the History of the Narragansett Country, or Southern Rhode Island, Volume 1, 1882-1883 (Hamilton, R.I. : The Narragansett Historical Publishing Company, 1882-1883), "A List of the Births and Deaths of Westerly," page 68, Christopher Champlain death entry, 2 April 1732; accessed on FamilySearch Books (https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/).

This record is a Derivative Source, with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the death of Christopher Champlain (1656-1732).  The original entry is in "Town records 1706-1819 [Westerly, Rhode Island]" on FamilySearch digital microfilm 930813.

Christopher Champlin (1656-1732) was the son of Jeffrey and Ulalia (Garde) Champlin of Newport, Rhode Island.  He married (1) --?-- --?-- (c1658-c1718) in about 1682, and they had six children.  Christopher married (2) Elizabeth (Whitehead) Davol (1670-1722), widow of William Davol, and they had no children together.

Christopher and --?-- (--?--) Champlin  are my 7th great-grandparents. I am descended through their son, William Champlin (1687-1778) who married Joanna --?-- (c1692-c1762) before 1720 in Rhode Island.
