Treasure Chest Thursday - 1731 Marriage of Joseph Richman and Elizabeth Rawlings in Whaddon, Wiltshire

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1731 marriage entry for Joseph Richman and Elizabeth Rawlings in the Whaddon, Wiltshire parish records:

The marriage entry is the third entry in the list for 1731:

The transcription of this record is::

1731 Joseph Richman & Elizabeth Rawlings both of Hilperton were married June y'e four-teenth day by Banns

The source citation for this record is:

"Wiltshire, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812," indexed database with record images, Ancestry.com (https://www.ancestry.com), Whaddon, "Parish Registers, 1653-1749," image 50 of 82, Joseph Richman and Elizabeth Rawlings marriage entry, 14 June 1731; Original data: Wiltshire Church of England Parish Registers, Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre, Chippenham, Wiltshire, England.

This is an entry in the Whaddon, Wiltshire parish register.  It is an Original Source with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the marriage of Joseph Richman and Elizabeth Rawlings on 14 June 1731 in Whaddon.  Joseph Richman (1710-1761) was the son of Mark and Elizabeth (Tremby) Richman of Hilperton.  Elizabeth Rawlings (c1714-c1770) was the daughter of Henry and Jane (Andrews) of Hilperton.  Whaddon was the next church to the northwest of Hilperton in the 1700s.

Joseph and Elizabeth (Rawlings) Richman are my 5th great-grandparents; they had at least 8 children, including my 4th great-grandfather John Richman (1744-1808) who married Mary Parsons (1750-1802) in 1775 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
