Treasure Chest Thursday - 1749 Marriage Record of Robert Parsons and Mary Harding in Box, Wiltshire, England

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1749 marriage entry for Robert Parsons and Mary Harding in the Box, Wiltshire parish records:

The marriage entry is the last  entry in the list for "Married 1749:"

The transcription of this record is::

"Robert Parsons of Melksham and Mary Harding of Bradford [married] by Licence January 17, [1749]"

The source citation for this record is:

"Wiltshire, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812," indexed database with record images, Ancestry.com (https://www.ancestry.com), Box > Parish Registers > 1644-1754, image 167 of 249, Marriages, Robert Parsons and Mary Harding marriage entry, 17 January 1749. Original data: Wiltshire Church of England Parish Registers, Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre, Chippenham, Wiltshire, England.

This is an entry in the Box, Wiltshire parish register.  It is an Original Source with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the marriage of Robert Parsons of Melksham and Mary Harding of Bradford[-on-Avon] on 17 January 1749/50 in Box.  The entry is on a second page of 1749 marriages and at the end of the year (which in 1749 ended on 24 March 1750).

Robert Parsons (1725-1784) was christened 21 October 1725 in Melksham, the son of Robert and Susannah (Gale) Parsons.  Mary Harding (ca 1720-????) was born in about 1720, probably in Bradford-on-Avon.

Robert and Mary (Harding) Parsons are my 5th great-grandparents; they had at least 3 children, including my 4th great-grandmother Mary Parsons (1750-1802) who married John Richman (1744-1808) in 1775 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
