Randy, Stan and Gramp in About 1954 -- Post 801 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite photographs:

This photograph was taken in about 1954 in San Diego, probably at my grandparents home on Point Loma.  The man in the middle is my maternal grandfather, Lyle Lawrence Carringer (1891-1976) with my brother Stan (inspecting the bottom of a toy car) and me (looking at Stan.  Stan and I have caps of some sort on - perhaps my grandfather's World War I U.S. Marine caps?  [Now I wonder where those caps went.]

I have very few photographs of my grandfather smiling for some reason.  I remember him as a happy man who enjoyed his home and family.

I colorized a black and white photo using the MyHeritage tools.

This photograph is all part of my family history.
