Famous Cousins: Dolly Rebecca Parton (1946-2026)

 You never know who you're related to.  When a famous person dies, I check the FamilySearch Family Tree and WikiTree to see ifd I might be related to them.

So it was on Tuesday when Dolly Rebecca Parton (1946-2026) died. I easily found her FamilySearch Family Tree profile with a newly added death date in  https://www.familysearch.org/en/tree/person/details/GG46-8B6.

According to the FamilySearch Relationship Finder she is my 9th cousin 1x removed with common ancestors of Francis and Rebecca (Towne) Nurse of Massachusetts. Who knew? It's a small world, isn't it?

Are you related to Francis and Rebecca (Towne) Nurse?  If so, you are probably a cousin of mine and Dolly Parton's!!!

Genealogy is fun -- wait till my grandchildren here they are related to Dolly Parton.
