Eclectica Tuesday - This Week's Genealogy Finds

I receive blog posts, and other items, in Feedly, email, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and some of them have links of interest.  Here are some of the "genealogical eclectica" that's recently crossed my desk - information that I want you to know about:

1)  The lineup for the 2013 Who Do You Think You Are? shows on the TLC Network is in - they are:

*  Kelly Clarkson
*  Zooey Deschanel
*  Chris O'Donnell
*  Christina Applegate
*  Jim Parsons
*  Cindy Crawford
*  Trisha Yearwood
*  Chelsea Handler

The first show will air on Tuesday, 23 July 2013 at 9 p.m. EDT/MDT/PDT, 8 pm.m. CDT.

2)  The 253rd Genealogy Guys Podcast was posted on 26 June 2013 - check it out at http://genealogyguys.com/the-genealogy-guys-podcast-253-2013-june-26.  The Guys discussed
genealogy news, including software advances, upcoming conferences, new record collections, WDYTYA? and more.

3)  The GenealogyInTime website publishes a weekly e-magazine (subscribe here).  One of the featured articles is the Newest Genealogy Records on the Internet, listed by month.

4)  Caroline M. Pointer hosts a regular What's Up Genealogy? show on Friday nights (using Google+'s Hangout On Air) - check out her 28 June 2013 show featuring discussion of Google Reader retirement, Ancestry retiring "Old Search" and an interview with UK geneablogger Andrew Martin on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Om46HEjETv0).  Panelists include Gena Ortega, Jerry Kocis, Linda McCauley and Tessa Keough.

5)  Marian Pierre-Louis has a weekly Fieldstone Common BlogTalkRadio show, on Thursday at 1 p.m. EDT, with historical and genealogical book authors - you can see the list of upcoming shows at http://www.fieldstonecommon.com/show-schedule/.  The July 4th show is "Betsy Ross and the Making of America" with Marla Miller.

6)  DearMYRTLE hosted the Hangout On Air for the Mastering Genealogical Proof Study Group on Chapter 3 of the Thomas w. Jones book - you can watch the discussion on YouTube at http://youtu.be/Jcv1op-Vaak.

7)  The Monday, 1 July, "Mondays with Myrt" Hangout On air is also on YouTube at http://youtu.be/gw3euKIxr70.  I'm usually a panelist on this show.  We discussed Old vs. New Search, and many more topics, on this show.

That's it for this week - please let me know if you've run across something interesting and useful that could go on this list next week.
