Visiting the Allen County Public Library - Part 2: Post 433 for (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

During our 2011 vacation to Springfield, Illinois and surrounding states, I had one day  in the Genealogy Center at the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  I wrote about it in Day 7 on the Seaver Midwest Genealogy Tour (posted 12 September 2011).

Here are more of the photographs I took during my visit:

1)  A genealogy society from Kentucky was looking through deeds in their county for a specific time frame, and then creating plots of the land.  They then taped them on papers that were on the big tables in the room.  This was fascinating to see the process and the result:

2)  When I took this photo in the morning, the main reading room in the Genealogy Center was pretty sparse.

3)  I was wandering through the periodical stacks and who did I find - geneablogger Tina Lyons!

That's it for my Allen County Public Library photos.  I didn't take very many.
