4)  NOTES (with source citations as indicated in brackets):

Ruth Cole was born 15 April 1651 in Eastham, Massachusetts, the daughter of Daniel and Ruth (--?--) Cole of Eastham[1-2].

She married John Young (1649-1718) at about age 18 in about 1669 in Eastham, Massachusetts[1].  John was the son of John and Abigail (Howland) Young.  The descendants of John and Ruth (Cole) Young of Plymouth and Eastham is treated in a Mayflower Descendant periodical article by Andrew P. Langlois in the Summer 2005 issue[1]

They had eight children, all born in Eastham, but only two of which were recorded in the Eastham town records:

*  Mercy Young (1671-1753), married 1697 Micajah Snow (1669-1753).
*  Jonathan Young (1675-1755), married 1711 Deborah Newcomb (1687-1766).
*  Benjamin Young (1677-1734), married 1700 Sarah Snow (1677-1742).
*  Israel Young (1683-1760), married 1708 Katherine Frost (1679-1764).
*  Ruth Young (1688-1768), married 1708 Samuel Brown (1686-1749).
*  Barnabas Young (1690-1772), married (1) Rebecca Young (1694-1753), and (2) 1754 Anne Snow (1703-1767).
*  Jane Young (1692-1746), married 1710 Isaac Pierce (1687-1747).
*  Abigail Young (1694-1781), married 1716 John Treat (1693-1762).

Ruth (Cole) Young's father, Daniel Cole, died intestate on 20 December 1694 in Eastham, and left an estate that was divided by an agreement of the heirs dated 15 January 1694/5[3].  The homestead and the rest of the real property was granted to son Thomas Cole, and Ruth Cole received 12 pounds, 19 shillings as her remainder portion, having received property in her father's lifetime.  John and Ruth Young signed this agreement.

John Young died intestate before 23 April 1718, when administration on his estate was granted by the Barnstable County Probate Court to his widow, Ruth Young and his son Jonathan Young[4].  The heirs agreed on 18 July 1719 to divide the estate, and the widow Ruth Young was to receive:
"To the sd Ruth Young Their Dear mother The Widow Relict of the sd m^r John Young deceased To Have the Improvement of all the Dwelling House and benefit and Income of one Third part of all the Lands and Tenements and Real Estate wh^so-ever which Their Hon^ord Father m^r John Young above named Dyed seized of During The Term of Her naturall Life, and also one Third part of Their sd Father's personall Estate to be by Their sd mother Ruth Young her Heirs and assigns for ever freely possessed and Enjoyed."
On 23 July 1720, Mrs. Ruth Young of Eastham and Jonathan Bangs (1640-1728) of Harwich registered their intentions to marry in the Eastham town records[5-7].

Jonathan Bangs died on 9 November 1728 in Eastham, and Ruth may have outlived him.  There is no death record or burial record for Ruth (Cole) (Young) Bangs.  If she died in 1728, she was age 77.

NOTE:  In 2014, Amy Johnson Crow suggested a weekly blog theme of "52 Ancestors" in her blog post  52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks on the No Story Too Small blog.  I have extended this theme in 2020 for a seventh year to 364 Ancestors in 364 Weeks.  The list of 52 Ancestors biographies from my great-grandparents to the 7th great-grandparents (in work) is in   https://www.geneamusings.com/p/ancestor-biographies.html.
