Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1779 Marriage of Phinehas Brigham and Lydia Bathrick in Westborough, Massachusetts

It's Treasure Chest Tuesday - a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the marriage entry for Phinehas Brigham (1755-1802) and Lydia Bathrick (1752-1795) in the Westborough, Massachusetts town record book:

The Brigham-Bathrick marriage entry is the third record on the right-hand page above:

The transcription of this record is:

"Phinehas Brigham & Lydia Bathrick both of Westborough were
married April y'e 29, 1779 by Rev'nd E. Parkman."

The source citation for this record is:

Massachusetts, Town and Vital Records, 1620-1988, indexed database and digital image, Ancestry.com (https://www.ancestry.com : accessed 11 February 2014), "Westborough Births, Marriages and Deaths," page 351 (penned, image 395 of 1417), Phinehas Brigham and Lydia Bathrick marriage entry, 29 April 1779.

This is probably a transcription of an original town record book for Westborough, Massachusetts, so it is a Derivative Source with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the marriage of Phinehas Brigham and Lydia Bathrick.

Phinehas Brigham (1755-1802) was the son of Moses and Mehitable (Grout) Brigham of Westborough, Massachusetts.  Lydia Bathrick (1752-1795) was the daughter of David and Lydia (Maynard) Bathrick of Westborough.  Phinehas and Lydia (Bathrick) Brigham are my 4th great-grandparents, throguh their son Lambert Brigham (1794-1834) who married Sophia Buck (1797-1882) in 1817.
