This obituary provides a name, an age, a death date and place, the names of his wife and living children, plus a limited description of his work history.

Vernon C. Seaver married (2) Mabel "May" Boyer (1871-????) in about 1899 in Chicago, Illinois, and they had one child:

Vernon C. Seaver married (3) Ethel Burley (1885-1960) on 13 July 1920 in Lake County, Indiana, and they had no children.

I am a 4th cousin four times removed to Vernon Charles Seaver, with the common Seaver ancestor being Joseph Seaver (1672-1754), who settled in Sudbury, Massachusetts.

There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this was one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person has a long life and an interesting life history. I am glad that I can honor Vernon Charles Seaver today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
