I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite photographs:
This photograph was taken in May 2003 with our friends from Tornio, Finland. Kalle and Aila, the parents of Mia (one of our 1994 exchange students), visited the USA and stayed with us in Chula Vista for about a week as part of their USA cross-country tour.
We took the train from Williams to the Grand Canyon on a day trip and had a good time. The photo is of Kalle and Randy, with their hats resting up on a bench after the exhausting time watching others try to go up and down the trail to the river.
During the week with them, we took a car trip to visit Tami and her family in Victorville, then to Las Vegas to sightsee and enjoy the casinos, and to the Grand Canyon, and then back to Chula Vista.
